This was the easy opening boss of Sonic 2. Robotnik chases you back and forth in his drill car, so just jump over the drill and bounce off of his head until you beat him. And once Dr. R has 1 hit left? He shoots the drill, his only means of attack, at you... Fail. Since it was the game's 1st boss, it also introduced you to the best boss fight music in the series.
