This is one of the most annoying bosses of Sonic 2, fought after completing one of the most annoying levels in Sonic 2. Robotnik's clones swirl around his Egg-o-matic, forcing you to time your attacks precisely to land a hit on Dr. R without getting hit yourself. If you can't get the timing down, you could always A) have somebody play as Tails and do the dirty work for you (easy), or B) purposely get hit by Robotnik, recover at least 1 ring, and land a hit on him while you're temporarily invincible (moderately difficult). Once you defeat all the clones, Dr. R will only have 1 hit eft and start shooting laser beams at you, but quite frankly, you're a loser if the lasers become a problem for you.
